The fonds consists of the private papers and records gathered by Anthony Taulbut relating to his interest in local history and his work with local governments in Mission. It includes collected photographs; a local history quiz; and printed material on a broad range of subjects; the minutes of meetings, letters, registers, visitors’ books, and lists of Mission School District; and the minutes of meetings, letters, land records and assessment rolls of the Corporation of the District of Mission. Fonds also includes records of the Freemasons in Mission.

The fonds consists of photographs of the Barnett family, of Japanese Canadians in the Mission area, and various class pictures of the Mission School (1925-1931). The fonds includes the school register for the Japanese Kindergarten in Mission.

Spanning more than six decades, the Carl Klenk postcard collection was collected between 1947 and 2015. It is comprised of 870 black / white and color postcards providing a visual record of Mission and communities in the lower and upper Fraser Valley, including: Dewdney, Harrison Hot Springs, Hatzic, and Nicomen Island. Of note in the collection is more than 40 postcards of Mission’s most storied street – First Avenue, originally called Washington Street.
